What is Cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis, also known as “Cryoepididyma” by medical patients, involves the use of extremely cold temperatures to breakdown fat. Fat cells are especially prone to the negative effects of extreme cold temperature. While the fat cells still freeze, the internal structures and the skin are spared from damage. During Cryolipolysis the skin is extended to allow for maximum cooling of the treated area.
There are several benefits of cryolipolysis. The main benefit is that it can reduce body weight and improve cardiovascular health. Although the skin does not initially show any side effects, as the body uses fat for energy it pulls fluids from the subcutaneous layers of the body causing the swelling, redness, and itching often associated with this procedure. He was placed on surgical restriction and did not experience any pain, dizziness, vomiting, or any other symptoms that are associated with the treatment of this procedure. This case does not provide any evidence to suggest that fat reduction through cryolipolysis poses less complications than liposuction.
Cryolipolysis can also occur in patients who suffer from a rare condition called hemroids. Hemroids are swollen veins located in the rectum and the anus that are caused by increased levels of blood that are not able to drain due to some physical barrier. In the case of cryolipolysis, a small incision is made in the anal canal and the fat deposits are removed via the fine instruments that are used during cryolipolysis. This is a very rare condition that can present some serious complications such as thrombosis and bowel obstruction. These types of complications are far rarer in patients who undergo cryolipolysis and the chances of these complications occurring are therefore considered to be extremely low.

In this particular case, the patient’s inflammatory response to a traumatic injury was so severe that normal treatment was ineffective and she needed to undergo this procedure to remove the excess fat that was pressing on her internal organs.
The modern day cryolipolysis procedure has evolved into much more refined and sophisticated procedures. Modern equipment and advanced techniques enable the practitioner to precisely sculpt the body without causing any damage to vital organ systems. For patients that need to lose large amounts of fat in a short period of time a standard disposable plastic applicator is often used. This applicator is similar to the type of apply-on liposuction that is performed in a dental office. The Process of Cryolipolysis

This is especially true in cases where some swelling and redness occurs after the procedure.
Although cryolipolysis is an effective, minimally invasive and non-invasive treatment for removing stubborn body fat from the thighs, it can have some side effects like blistering and edema. In order to minimize these side effects and increase the chances of successful treatment, the patient should be properly monitored and the whole procedure must be performed under qualified medical supervision. Although the patient’s overall health will be checked before, during and after the treatment, he or she should not be allowed to drive vehicles or perform several other strenuous tasks for several months. Patients suffering from major illnesses or diseases should consult with their physician if they want to go through this treatment.
